Enail

Quartz Nails

For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a carb cap when using quartz nails. To preserve the essential terpenes in your concentrates, use a quartz nail to heat the bowl evenly. Titanium Nails

Titanium nails are more durable than ceramic and quartz nails and can withstand more falls on hard surfaces like tile. Titanium nails can be properly heated in about 15-25 seconds. But titanium is not suitable for medical or food use, so be sure to check before you buy. Titanium nails can develop thin layers of titanium oxide, which can reduce productivity.

Ceramic Nails

Ceramic nails taste good and have excellent heat retention. They take about 30 seconds to heat up well. Ceramic doesn’t glow orange like quartz or titanium, so it’s hard to tell if the nail is getting too hot. Because it is chemically inert, the ceramic used for enamel is safe for food and medical use. Ceramic does not need to be cured because it is a non-porous substance.

Ceramics cannot be dropped and are susceptible to cracking due to thermal stress. To avoid breakage or cracking due to thermal stress, heat the ceramic nail evenly. A ceramic nail may not feel hot, but it can take time to cool and still burn you. We recommend using a carbide plug to maximize the success rate and prevent concentrate residue from sticking to the nail.
